Grief-stricken and desperate for answers, Vera ropes her late son’s ex-boyfriend into impersonating her dead son—launching them on a darkly comic, painfully awkward journey through love, guilt, and the surreal lengths we’ll go to for closure.

As Connor steps back into the role of his lost lover, his unresolved feelings collide with Vera’s raw maternal grief, unearthing uncomfortable truths about identity, memory, and what it really means to let go.
